Uranus in the 4th House

Uranus in the fourth house unsettles the foundation, so the native's childhood was disrupted, their address changes often, and home never becomes an entirely settled idea.

The fourth house is home, family of origin, and the private self. Uranus at that angle removes the ground. The early household was disrupted — a parent who left or was unpredictable, frequent removals, a family that did not resemble the families of the native's schoolfellows. Whatever the mechanism, the native learned young that the domestic arrangement is provisional, and has never entirely unlearned it.

Adult housing follows the pattern. The native moves often, lives in unconventional buildings, or arranges the household on terms the neighbours find irregular: shared, dispersed, conducted across two countries, or organised around work in a way that no ordinary family would accept. Break with the family of origin is common and frequently final. Such natives construct a household of chosen people instead, and are notably good at it.

The cost is the missing floor. The native cannot fully relax indoors, keeps possessions in a state that would permit departure within a day, and treats any settled period as an interval. Sudden domestic upheaval recurs — the relationship that ends without warning, the move decided in a week. And the estrangement from the origin, however justified, leaves a question that stays open, since the native has cut off the only people who could have answered it.
