The second house is money, possessions, and what one is willing to be paid for. Uranus there refuses the steady salary. Income arrives in bursts — a good contract, a windfall, a scheme that works spectacularly for eighteen months and then does not — and the native has usually abandoned regular employment by thirty, having found it intolerable for reasons that are principled rather than practical. Freelance, invention, technology, and speculation are the natural channels.

Values are genuinely unorthodox. The native declines work that pays well on grounds that colleagues consider eccentric, gives away a valuable object without ceremony, and holds views on property that make family conversations about inheritance difficult. Possessions are few, portable, and technologically advanced.
