Pluto in Libra

Pluto took about twelve years to cross Libra, one of its quicker passages, and the cohort born inside it grew up while divorce became ordinary. That is the placement in a sentence. What it destroyed was the assumption that a partnership, once entered, was structurally permanent. What it built instead was the modern contract: negotiated, revisable, formally equal, and considerably more exposed. This generation watched adults dissolve arrangements that had been described as unbreakable, and drew its conclusions early.

The compulsion that follows is toward fairness pursued with an intensity Libra does not usually suggest. These people will litigate the division of a household to the last teaspoon, and they mean it as justice. Power in relationship is the buried subject: who decides, who concedes, who is quietly running the arrangement while appearing to accommodate. From inside it feels like a refusal to be exploited. From outside it can look like a person who cannot enter a room without first calculating the balance of forces in it.

The house shows where the theme concentrated. Seventh house, and one significant partnership will remake the person entirely, usually by ending; eighth, and the transformation runs through shared money and shared secrets. Venus contacts mark those in whom the generational preoccupation became a private one, giving relationships an intensity that is real and a difficulty in letting an ordinary attachment simply be ordinary.
